Roxanne Pratt is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). She is licensed in Florida, Georgia, California, and Washington State, and is board certified as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) by the National Board for Certified Counselors. She is also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). Roxanne received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan, a master’s degree in educational psychology from Baylor University, and a master’s degree in public health, specializing in health behavior, from the University of Georgia. Roxanne has more than 20 years of experience counseling children, teens, adults and families.

Roxanne has been in private practice in Florida since 2015. Prior to that, Roxanne and her husband were the owners of Arbor Counseling, LLC in New Mexico where Roxanne spent five years as Clinical Director. She worked with people of all ages struggling with anxiety and depression, self esteem issues, emotional eating, binge eating disorder, and other compulsive behaviors, as well as relationship and life transitions. In New Mexico, Roxanne counseled many children, teens, adults, and families impacted by divorce and navigating the joys and frustrations of living in blended families.

Roxanne also worked in Atlanta as a medical counselor in a pediatric endocrinology clinic where she counseled children and adolescents with diabetes, and their families, as well as with families struggling with obesity. Also in the Atlanta area, Roxanne spent seven years working in the field of adoption including infant and older child adoptions, U.S. and international adoptions, and post-placement counseling. She has also worked in the field of Early Intervention including therapy with young children with developmental delays and medical diagnoses and parenting counseling.

Roxanne, originally from New York, is married and has three adult children. One is a psychologist in California, another graduating soon with a Ph.D. in physics, and one who joined the family through international adoption and has special needs. Roxanne values this life experience in parenting and believes it enriches her counseling.

Roxanne enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing tennis, pickleball, bicycling, skiing, body surfing, and reading at the beach, and is passionate about her dogs (rescues.) She enjoys taking long walks with the dogs and visiting the dog park.

Roxanne is continually adding to her knowledge about the role nutrition plays in mental health.
